Bailishi K11 Easy-Apply Waterproofing Slurry

Product Description

Bailishi K11 Easy-Apply Waterproofing Slurry is a highly flexible, two-component waterproofing material consisting of a powder component made from premium aggregates and selected additives, together with a liquid polymer additive.

When the powder and liquid components are mixed, a chemical reaction occurs to form a tough and elastic waterproof membrane. The membrane provides excellent adhesion to concrete and mortar, creating a strong, durable, and permanent bond that effectively prevents water penetration.

Application Instructions

1. Pour the liquid polymer component into a clean container, then gradually add the powder component. Mix thoroughly with a handheld electric mixer until a smooth and uniform slurry is obtained.
2. Apply the mixed slurry directly to the prepared substrate using a brush or roller. Make sure the entire surface is covered without any missed areas.
3. After applying the first coat, allow it to become initially dry before applying the second coat. For walls, the first coat is ready when it feels dry to the touch and does not detach when lightly touched. Floors may require more drying time and should be firm enough to walk on without damaging the waterproof layer.
4. Apply one coat for damp-proofing applications. Apply two to three coats when full waterproofing performance is required.
5. Apply each subsequent coat in a direction perpendicular to the previous coat. After completing each coat, inspect the entire surface for missed areas, pinholes, or other defects and repair them immediately.
6. Stir the mixture periodically during application to prevent settling.

Recommended Coverage

The theoretical consumption is approximately 1.5–2.0 kg/m².

Actual consumption depends on the intended application, application area, substrate roughness, environmental conditions, and other site-specific factors.

Shelf Life

The product has a shelf life of 12 months under normal storage and transportation conditions.

Important Precautions

• Apply the product only when the ambient and substrate temperature is between 5°C and 35°C.
• Use the mixed slurry within one hour after mixing.
• Thoroughly dampen the substrate with clean water before application, but do not leave any standing water on the surface.
• Smooth, power-trowelled cement surfaces must be mechanically roughened before application.
• Store the liquid component at a temperature above 0°C and protect it from freezing.
• Read the application instructions carefully before construction to achieve reliable and satisfactory waterproofing performance.
• Wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves, during mixing and application.
